B.S. Forshore, the newly appointed race director, announced today that 2008 will feature a special change for the world-famous Molokai World Championship event: the course is going to be reversed for the first time ever.

Can they be serious?

Most of us know the sadness and despair of breaking a ski, and usually the pieces are consigned to a dumpster.   But when Dale "T-bone King" Lippstreu smashed his new Fenn Mako Elite Double recently at the end of a downwind paddle, he met the challenge full on.

“I simply could not believe it,” said an aghast Jarad Kohler.  “One minute the guys were keen to paddle; the next I had a mutiny on my hands so I said ‘Stuff it, we’ll take the train instead’.”
