73. Swedish Surf Ski Championships

Author : Rob Mousley Surfski paddling is taking off in Scandinavia - the first surf ski race ever in Sweden took place on September 1, 2007 near Arkösund.  The race course was 20km in calm weather.  Oscar Chalupsky, in Europe to attend the World Kayaking Championships in Hungary took the opportunity to participate in the race.

76. Round Madeira Island Race - Surf Skis welcome

Author : Rob Mousley We can confirm that surf ski paddlers are welcome to participate in the 2007 Round Madeira Race.  We were concerned that this might not be the case - the event website says that only sea kayaks are allowed.  However, Rui Drummond of the organizing committee has explicitly confirmed that surf skis will be eligible to race.
