Knysna Guppie

Hi,

I import skis to the UK and Knysna make an excellent Junior Ski called a Guppie. My 9 year old son paddles it with ease, and in our Surf Life Saving Club the slightly older nippers paddle it in small surf with ease. We even had a Guppie race in the UK championships for U13s last year. Attached is a photo showing nippers paddling. Well there would be if I could find out how to attach the Photo. Take a look at the British Flat Walter Championships article. - Michael Childs

onnopaddle little ski

Hey guys, built this for my nephew a couple years back.. 12\' 6\" X 15\" .... did not go crazy fairing it in but from a fun standpoint, one of my favorite things I have ever built. The little ones can be almost as fast as us with a bit of focus .... sooo dang cool to see. Little blobs hiding rudder cable housing .... ski designed to paddle o.k without it though.

If that was on the maket I\'d have 1. I\'m a sea Kayaker and want to get my 8 year old on a ski , not a kayak for safety reasons. We have test paddled the Guppie ski which I thought had too much volume up in the nose. Weather cocked like crazy and also the Stelth Junya. The stelth is about a year or 2 too big but i think thats what we will end up with unless you have some plans you can post somewhere. Your ski looks the goods....WELL DONE Tim from Aus :-) - Guest
