I was very impressed with the video which was a little sobering in that the average speed of the first few was around the 13km/hr, which puts my speed somewhat lower down the ranks. I enjoyed viewing the paddling styles and the paddle cadence / rotation and I wouldn't mind seeing more short downloads of the SA races.

Rob....how about it? ....any chance of getting some edited race downloads?

As for leaving the boats to run to the finish, this is a pretty common practice. Nice touch for Oscar to cruise leisurely over the finish line. I like it.

Great video. However, I do not like the fact that the competitors are supposed to leave their boats to be tossed around in the shorebreak while they run up to the finish line.

After the amount of money I put down on my new boat, I fully understand Oscar's decision to carry the boat up the beach. I would do the same. - Scott
