It does all the training functions I need, keeps a small map to get you back where you came from. (Seems silly till your out in the mangroves in Florida in a rainstorm with 80\' visibility.) It has great battery life 10+ hours and has been reliable in salt water. It is so sensitive that if you were it on your wrist the max speed will be hull speed plus forward paddle stroke.
