But one small note. As often noted "there were no women" in the race. However, all you need to do is look behind you. The Short Course (6 miles/10K) featured 8 women out of a total field of 38 paddlers. The finish times for 1st - 3rd place were just 7 seconds apart! The women came from Puerto Rico, British Columbia, Florida and California.
