I went down there 2 years ago when I was in town for the Perth World Cup and MAN! I was craving my surfski and being able to explore the coastline ESPECIALLY from Yallingup. It is definitely one of the most scenic (and still relatively unknown) coastlines around. As for Greg Mickle....
