The more sponsors, the bigger the prize money, the bigger the attraction, the more paddlers, the more sponsors, the bigger the prize money etc etc etc. We just have to all keep pushing . . . and whereas surfing is often constrained by waves which are seen as a limited resource and often create a scarcity mentality, the ocean is a whole lot biggger from a paddlers point of view. This is a very cool time to be alive and involved with the sport at a grass root level! Let's do it! Get addicted to speed and paddling, stay wet, get focussed etc etc etc Yeaha! I think with the prize money that is now being offered, ski paddling is rapidly following suit as a sport that only needs water and is not overly limited by the conditions.
