			<description>You have to have your boat registered as a small ship! and lodge applications with both coast guards, have an offical pilot boat guide you over there, it all cost a bit of money (including a new boat for me as my sprint K1 was a bit to tippy this time) but its well worth it for the experience.

The main problem with the officals is the shipping lane you cross, up to 500 very large boats a day running North or South directly across your West to East route which you should give way to or do your best to avoid!

There is the chance to do a K2 record next year if anyone is interested in having me as a partner!
