			<description>Hey

The surf was big in the heads but as long as you stuck really close to the right hand rcks you were ok. The most interesting part of the race was actually in face at Buffles point. There are large rocks and reef off the point that most paddle round but if taking on the inside through the broken waves of the reef you can gain up to 3 min. I was lucky enough to follow Pete and Alain through there. They took an awesome line right on the inside with waves breaking both sides of them, i put my head down and rode a nice run right through. Most made the mistake at the finish of lining themselves up with the flags, the clever move was to come in early which was way easier! Luckily i have been on holiday in Sedgefield and surfed it many times.

All in all a great paddle, one of the best i have ever done. Its a special experience paddling out the heads that really reminds me of why i do this amazing sport!

Mark - I will most certainly be out to the islands next year! For now Dubai's flatter conditions will have to do. I cant wait for the Shamaal, it going to be massive!

<description>Just for the record, the pic of the ski's coming out the Heads was the first batch that started. The photo doesn't give it justice, it makes the surf at the Heads look very tame.
The surf at the finish was on!
Great race.

<description>Way to &quot;chance um&quot; Barry as that surf looks pretty spectacular!!
I think Hank's Dad took me out there years ago on our paddling journey down to the Cape!! You and Hank were still playing in the kiddie pool then... Hahhhhh...

Get over here for Molo and you can crash at my pad w/Hank if he makes it back...

Puno is still on the mend and most likely won't make it so he says..
PE boy!

Aloha,

<description>You can stand proud in any race when you have finished infront of the Doubles.

The Shamaal is waiting for you &amp; we are having solid 2 ft waves. Just like the Knysna Heads. - Gavin Dickinson</description>
