Update from Oscar Chalupsky

"There is quite a squad of internationals: 4 from Japan. 2 from Singapore, 2 Chinese.

The main opposition will come the Aussies and Lewis Laughlin. Dean Gardener, Mike Baker the rest you have mentioned. Another young Aussie from Perth and a national team Marathon paddler from Aus, named David. [That would be David Provin...]

I will try and send you my GPS track in the next few hours. Doing a clinic for the Hong Kong Sea School for underprivileged children.

The wind is blow very nicely now as I am awake at 8.00am. This race is going to be interesting as the last 2,5km is dead flat water. So who ever is blown will get overtaken in the last part of the race." - Rob Mousley

Just spoke to Dawid Mocke who was at sea with Lewis Laughlin & Australian Dave Provin (sp?).

They were checking out the course - "What a start to the tour," Dawid said. "Hong Kong is an awesome place."

Ken Wallace & Dean Gardiner only get in tonight - not much time to prep for the race... - Rob Mousley
