<description>I so looking forward to today race &amp; hoping it goes Dawids way!

Something which could be of novel interest going forward,is maybe to incorporate a handicap system were a lighter paddler in a heavier ski would have an advantage over others due to a power to weight ratio!
Whilst I don't think it should be included in these Elite events... it may have some merit for Joe &amp; Jane Paddler who don't have the budget for top end skis.
I will leave it with the surfski.info guru's too discuss further &amp; guys keep up the good work!
PS Rob is there any truth in the rumour that you are going to be paddling the Honcho Xtreme or Red7 next? - Jamii Hamlin</description>

			<title>Money On Jacobs!</title>
			<link>http://www.surfski.info/content/view/576/147/#pc_1772</link>
<description>I agree with you Mark, I think it's great that companies like Fenn and Epic are competing with each other with regards to ski design. It only makes for a better sport for us and that in turn will draw more people to it.

However, I do disagree with your prediction of Hank or Daw taking home the bacon. My money is on Tim Jacobs, that guy is on fire at the moment and flat out refuses to be beaten.

However, I do conceed that if there is even a minor bump out there the likes of Deano and Oscar will be all over the young guys.

Either way I think the obvious effort that the Shamaal orgsanisors / sponsors have gone to to make this event what it is is fantastic. Not to mention the effort Rob and the guys put in to make the experience as real as it can be for us, credit to them.

In fact I personally believe that Rob is probably one of the most influential people in Surfski. He's like Rupert Murdoch, you control the media you control the opinion. Rob is the media as far as we're concerned, if I were Epic he'd be paddling a free V10 Super Elite!!! You can't buy better publicity, what's written here is gospel!!!

Fingers crossed eh Rob?

			<title>Good one Rob!!</title>

<description>Controversey before the race even kicks off!! So SA I love it...
Let the best man win today and then let the bragging rights kick in
over the cold beers to follow. I suspect the conditions will be mild in comparison to Molokai, Durban or Perth and not favor the big water paddler.

For the record we should be proud of both Fenn and Epic and Huki for getting more people around the planet on skis, creating more opportunties for all of us to travel and &quot;Borrow/Rent&quot; one when we hit the ground...

My pick to win??? Give it to a young gun- either Hank or Daw!!

Wish I could be there and good luck to all..
