Hi, Oscar`s visit to our kayak/ski club was awesome. He took the time to pass on pieces of his knowledge to anyone who would ask. He had something new for everyone, including well seasoned paddlers. I was most impressed when Oscar let us in on one of his top-tips. We were talking about paddle length for distance races and Oscar told us that when he`s only a few K`s from home, he likes to catch a swell and change the length of his paddle on the go!
Anyway, if anyone out there finds themselves in Cardiff or Wales, and you fancy a paddle or just meeting the local crowd, please get in touch. We can always rustle up an old ski and paddle or just take you to a really old pub and fill you full of Guinness like we did to Oscar and his mate Ian!

Yo Ian - an Epic article! As u now know, the Welsh have 3 great attributes. 1 they can handle the cold weather! 2 they love beer (probably as much as Oscar does) and 3 they are getting pretty damm good at beating the English! - Ed Menzies

I used to live right by the River Taff, directly across from the stadium (The Arms Park at the time), so this is really cool to see all the paddling going on in Cardiff now. - postal256
