Peanut butter, banana and honey - that is a wild combo. And Storms River is totally wild, needle sharp rocks and crashing surf - for miles. And the shot of Van Staadens is AWESOME. (Mental note to myself - get that pic for a surfski.info calendar at the end of the year.) - Alain Jaques

wild wild man rich-

from mike murf here, on daaf's machine. not that i'm unimpressed with paddle. it looks beautiful, challenging, and distance is distance, no way to short change that.

but to call this wild is a bit of a stretch. lets keep it real my bru. no need to exagerate the risk of a physical feat. how wild can it be with a ski and support vehicle in tow? was there on offshore cruise ship to board for the periodic morning tea or evening beer?

i mean really, an english brekkie on day 2...when was the last time the english did anything "wild". pulling a double ski out of the quiver just to mix it up a bit? come on mate. did you make it into a spa for a mud bath and foot massage at any point along the way? a little shopping at a kiosk for the ladies back home?

lets save the wild title for a trip in which carrying a gun, or spear is neccessary. a trip where the only photos you have are taken with one hand of yourself without a great deal of concern for the post-card background. really, if there are no sharks, lions, or thieves...how wild was it? c'mon bru...your in flipping africa...mix it up a bit.

and lastly, if a flipping FILM student managed to survive, how wild can it be?

i'm from LA, home of hollywood and more film students than we know what to do with, half of which are women or men with a "petite" build and well styled hair.

drop the film student, the multiple escorts, the coast guard helicopter, english brekkie, and spa treatments. then we'll call it wild.

with love, mike murf - Dawid Mocke
