Rob - just lock your heels in. It should help to stop you losing contact with the boat. - Dave Kissane

staying on the ski?

How do guys (and gals) keep from falling off the boat going out in waves like this? Usually when I charge up a steep wave in a ski and get (at least mostly) airborne, I end of losing contact with the boat and landing half out of the seat or worse. I finally figured out not to try to accelerate up the face, and just sort of pause at the top, but of course that doesn't work so well in a race. I'm guessing that Hank in that first picture didn't slow down too much, and probably charged right over... - Robert Hartman
