Australia's surfski paddlers have come out of hibernation - with a vengeance! Apart from the Ocean Series opener in Sydney (and the first ever Surfski Expo), there's the Lion Island Challenge coming up on 25th October. And in Victoria, the Charger Ski Challenge starts on 26th October... And we've got a great video of the Sydney Manly Wharf Bridge to Beach race... read all about it!

French Champion Benoit Le Roux went out hard from the start – and by the time he rounded the last buoy had built up a huge 3 minute lead on Oscar Chalupsky. But the last leg was directly downwind – and there was just enough wind to raise some small waves…

The Soualiga Challenge - a 25km down-wind run starting in Gustavia, St. Barthelemy and finishing in Oyster Pond, Sint Maarten - will run on 28 September 2008.
The race has over US$4,000 in prize money so far with a selection of international paddlers already entered.
