pleased! Very well pleased!" - Dawid Mocke's
feelings on being crowned King of the Harbour for the third time.
Dawid took a
70 sec lead into Day 2 after his outstanding performance in the relay race the
day before, but he knew that Mike Walker, current King of the Harbour Champion,
would be going all out make up the deficit. And with local knowledge of the tricky
currents, Mike just might be able to pull it off.

The King of the Harbour, one of the most prestigious surf ski races in the international calendar, is a two-day event held on North Island, New Zealand. The results from the three-man relay event on day 1 are combined with the individual event on day 2 to compute the team and individual titles.

The New Zealand King of the Harbour race takes place in Auckland on 24th/25th of March 2007.
South Africans Bevan Manson, Oscar Chalupsky (current Australia World Cup Champion) and Dawid Mocke (King of the Harbour winner in 2004 and 2005) will be flying to Auckland to take on the best that the rest of the world have to offer.
