So with less than 8 days to go to the 250km Southern Shamaal PE2EL race, there is not much more that we can do that will be of much benefit - if we haven't done it by now then it's probably too late - the only thing that's probably of any benefit is rest and making sure that any niggles are taken care of.

What the *&^% happened to Spring in Cape Town? If you've read some of the recent posts on this site you will have seen that Cape Town has suffered a savage beating at the hands of some serious weather - while it has been impressive in its destructiveness it has provided challenges for paddling.

Breaking News: In a Surfski.info exclusive, we are happy to announce that defending champion, Paul ‘EK SÉ’ Marais, has signed the legally binding DWASOPE Southern Shamaal Document of Intent (DSSDOI) and will be on the start line come 6th December ….. not only will this be a boost for the organisers but it will also give Oscar someone to follow over the 4 days – his signature brings to 18 the number of members who have put pen to paper.
 Paul (ek se) Marais signs the pledge. Paul is the current PE2EL Challenge champion
