It was a beautiful warm and sunny day at Crissy Field in San Francisco. The race started with a 2.5 mile downwind leg to Alcatraz, followed by a long uphill leg out the Golden Gate to the ocean and up the coast.

We had great surfing on the way back to the finish. Winds were lighter than yesterday and were in the teens in mph. With a bit of an ebb tide, the uphill leg went faster that it would have been otherwise.

The day concluded with a paddlers party/dinner/awards in the evening.
Sunday's double ski race will be a little shorter at 9 miles.
Complete results will be posted on
