Dubai Shamal International Surfski Race |

 The Dubai Surf Ski and Kayak Club (DSKC) are hosting Dubai's first ever international Surf Ski Race, "THE DUBAI SHAMAL", the same "Shamal" used for the seasonal desert sand storms that blow across Dubai.
The US$10,000, 20km, DUBAI SHAMAL singles race is scheduled for Friday 1st December at 15h30 taking advantage of the prevailing wind conditions. Saturday will play host to sprint format using doubles and this event will be used to showcase the sport for spectators.
International paddlers already confirmed include Dawid Mocke, Oscar Chalupsky, Hank McGregor, Daryl Bartho and Dean Gardiner.
It should be noted that this race is conveniently timed for paddlers returning from the Australian World Cup race.
The $10,000 prize money will be split between the top 5 male and 3 female paddlers.
