ImageHere are the course details for the 2007 King of the Harbour races to be held on March 24/25 in Auckland, New Zealand.

 

DAY 1 SATURDAY MARCH 24


Format: 21km completed by a three-person relay team. Each paddler races 7km then tags their partner on Takapuna Beach.

 

Course: 7km loop starting and finishing at Takapuna Beach. The final course will be determined by the wind direction, and will be constructed from both permanent and temporary marks.

 

Starting instructions:

 

Surfski andVaa: Start at 1.00pm.

International team paddlers seeded to the front.

 

Finish time: From 2.30pm 

Race officially over (all courses): 4.00pm.

High tide: 11.27am

 

DAY 2 SUNDAY MARCH 25

 

Courses: Will be determined by wind direction. See www.surfski.co.nz for details on March 24th.

Surfski: Start at 11.15am.

Finish time: From 1.00pm 

Race officially over (all courses): 3.00pm.

High tide: 12.20pm
