The first four stages take place on the ocean with typical
weather conditions that include:
- Temperature: 24-33C
- Wind: NE 20-30km/h
- Wave height: 1-1.5m
The final stage takes place on an inland lake - same temperature, but hardly any wind, and definitely no waves.
Interestingly most of the stages do not go downwind - they're
either upwind or across wind - which will make this race extremely challenging. The final day's 42km on flat water will
present a challenge all of its own...
Race Cost
The entry fee of $500 includes full board & lodging for
the duration of the race in 3-4 star hotels & resorts and transport between
race venues. Sounds like unbelievable
value.
Sea Kayaks can even be rented - at $10/day for K1, $15/day
for K2.

Race coverage
We're looking for someone to write up the story - this is a
race I intend to do one day, but not this year!
Any volunteers?!
