More event announcements in Australia - the Ocean Challenge Series run by Ash Nesbit & Dean Gardiner in Western Australia and the East Coast Ocean Challenge run by Tom Woodriff and Stephen Ford...
2007 Ocean Challenge Series
Yes it has been a while coming but we are finally
getting organised for the 2007 Ocean Challenge Series. I attach a poster
with the details.
The 2007 Ocean Challenge Series has a few changes
since last year. We will not hold the Mandurah Split race, not because we
didn't want to, but it just wouldn't fit into a very tight calendar of events
prior to Xmas. We hope it will be back in 2008.
However, there will be another 2 new races into 2008,
which haven't been advertised yet. The first is the Fremantle to Mindarie Keys
Teams Relay 20 January 2008 and the second is the Fremantle to North Cottesloe
08 Dash for Cash 9 February 2008.
Entries for the races we organise will be available
via my website www.myocean.com.au
by the 10th of October 2007 and will be an online system. The
Website is being upgraded at the moment, so please be patient and gentle with
it!?
Could you please forward this mail to anyone that
might be interested in these events and please phone myself or Dean if you have
any questions.
Talk soon and happy training!

The East Coast Ocean Challenge is Sydney's premier ski and surf craft
endurance event. The East Coast Ocean Challenge was extremely successful in
its first season, now in its second season is attracting enormous interest.
This exciting, prestigious event attracts elite competitors from around
Australia and overseas, and receives widespread media exposure. It is
anticipated that approximately 400 competitors will participate this year,
with significant increases expected as ECOC grows into one of the premier
paddling events on the international paddling calendar.
The race organisers Tom Woodriff (Ozpaddle) and Stephen Ford (Training Aid
Australia) have developed this event to donate the profits to local Surf
Life Saving Clubs for the purchasing of life saving equipment.
