Picture this: as I write this, I'm lying on a recliner on the deck of a house on the beach at North Shore, Oahu, about 500m from the famous Pipeline surfing spot...

North Shore Hawaii
Surfski.info editor working hard in Hawaii...

Most of the paddlers have already sent their skis to Molokai Island - the admin has been done and it's time to relax before the race...

Here are some photos showing what we've been up to - hard work, but someone's got to do it...

Hey Rob - can you confirm what time u guys race on Sunday - and what timethat will be in SA - we are organising a high speed connection and computer projection screen to watch the race at Peninsula Canoe Club . Maybe if you have time you coudl send a post out to the Capie ski paddlers who want to watch with a bit of gees - bar open fires lit - I take it your streaming of race updates will be as good as ever?/

Hi Traut, the race is scheduled to start at 9am local time - which is 9pm Sunday night your time.
Alain will be doing the live text coverage talking to observers on the escort boats - and we'll have the GPS tracking on the same page.
Cheers!
