Matt Bouman Dominates
In the absence of Hank McGregor (racing the 4-day Berg Marathon in the Cape) and Oscar and Herman Chalupsky (in Europe), the paddlers made the most of their opportunities on an 18 km out and back 2-lap course on the flat sea.

Matt Bouman, recently returned from Australia, had to chase Barry Lewin who had a great start through the small surf. Matt and Barry diced until the second lap when at the surf turn, Matt opened up a lead which he maintained until the finish.

In the ladies race, Tiffany Kruger had a tight tussle with Michelle Eder until the latter took a swim on the second lap.
