The hunt for the Dubai Shamaal Anchorman is
back...and this time the Anchorman's
buddy is invited too.Surfski.info is

Now in its third year, the Dubai Shamaal
keeps pushing the envelope - last year the first prize was US$20,000 with a
total prize purse of US$53,000.This
year, the total prize pool will be $100,000 - by far the most prize money ever
on offer in surfski paddling.
This year's Dubai Shamaal will be run on 2
December 2008 - start planning now!

The Anchorman
Anchorman 2 will see a paddler from
somewhere in the world being flown to Dubai, all expenses paid, to race in an
Epic V10 Super Elite (yep, that all-black 8kg superski worth $6,000)...
They get to take the ski home with them, just like last year.

The first thing that last year's Anchorman,
Anton de Rooster, said when he heard he'd won the trip to Dubai was, "Can I
bring my girlfriend?!"
The "Anchorbuddy"
This year the prize has been extended to
the Anchorman's buddy - who will also be flown, all expenses paid, to the race.
The only sting in the tail is that the Anchorman
has to dance the Rooster-dance with the Anchorbuddy at the after-party while wearing
Roosterboots...

How
do you enter?
The competition is open to everyone -
anywhere in the world!(Everyone that is
except for 2008 Anchorman Antoine De Rooster and the guys who run Surfski.info
and the Dubai Shamaal race...!)
You have to be prepared to travel to the Dubai
Shamaal of course - and to paddle that V10 Super Elite ski in the race.
Step
1 - Make sure you're registered on Surfski.info and logged in
To enter, you need to be registered on
Surfski.info.
That's really simple to do - if you're not
already registered, click on the Register link in the Login box as shown below.
Click to Register!
Once you're registered, you need to login!
Step
2 - Edit your profile
To edit your profile, click on the image in
the login box as shown below:
Click your picture to edit your profile
Click on Edit, Update your profile as shown
below.
Click Edit, Update your profile
Finally... !Click on the Anchorman 2008 tab and answer the questions.
Answer the questions!
Click Update - and you're done!

I think the Anchorman SHOULD be an Anchorwoman - you men can carry those heavy boats around much more easily than us, we have a greater need for 8kg skis! You want to encourage more women into the sport, give us nice light boats . . . .
And if I were to win the comp, I would bring another girl with me to Dubai - we're both blonde, fit, and single. Have my chances just gone up?

I see that the draw will be at the 'end of October' . . . it's now November . . . who is the anchorWOMAN???
I'll need plenty of advance notice so that I can choose bathers that will match the gorgeous black ski . . . .
