Organised by Cardiff Bay Kayakers, and sponsored by  Childsplay Surf Gear the 2^nd British Flat Water Surfski Championships (sanctioned by RLSS & SLSA) will be held at Cardiff Bay on Saturday 27^th September.

Held in the flat waters of Cardiff Bay and the River Taff, the race is open to all levels of paddlers and has several categories. Ivan Lawler, legendary UK Kayak paddler has already signed up for the race in Cardiff. He will be joining many national ski champions who will be there - Dan Humble, British Spec ski champion; Karen O`Donaghue-Harris, 13 time Welsh Champion and former world masters lifesaving champion; and Simon Garbett, 2nd this year in masters world lifesaving champs.

Masters will be 40 .
Open will do about 12k, Ladies, Doubles, Masters and U19`s will do 10k.
Guppie race may be split into boys and girls, depending on numbers.
