(@Stew: Amazing camera viewpoint in your videos, especially the closing shot. Was the camera on some sort of radio-controlled drone? If so, where was the pilot?)

Regardless, that looks like great fun paddling! Thanks!

Hi Everybody,
Nice video Stew, with a aerial view it's magic !
I dream about a digicopter with the capacity of fly in 35knots of wind and with 2h of power capacity, follow you in your downwind !
Imagine the quality of the film, with the two angle of vision, inside and outside !
For the moment, I'm with my paddling buddy, no boatman, no digicopter, (Rambo can sleep quiet  ) but a lot of fun and good downwind condition in that normally flat & calm period for us !
I hope you enjoy !

This one addresses a crucial issue in Sea Kayaking, but could apply equally in surf ski, especially with the current trend towards tight paddling pants. Important stuff.

I put this in its own thread because I didn't realize there was a video thread.

Made a quick video of a surfing session on a small river bar surf break near my place.

The break is called bay surf and is in Port Hacking in Sydney's south. Bit of a grey rainy day, bit heaps of fun.

Hope you enjoy it.

Nice one Garry, also a favourite spot. Here's the same place, on a day when the odd wave got up a bit.

Here's my first attempt GoPro Hero3 câmera.
Made a short vídeo of how the Epic New V10 surfski is easy to mount and remount, even in deep water.
I'm not a advanced paddler (for beginners).

Playing around with a new camera mount at the weekend. Hopefully gives a good perspective of runs and holes. This was tiny wind chop, I'll have it out in some bigger stuff next week.

Great perspective. Does putting it that high mess with your stability?

So here's that video of the Millers Run that I did some time ago with Oscar Chalupsky in his V10 Double.

I posted it on vimeo where, in HD, it's better quality than on YouTube...

...and here's a clip of a mellow reverse Millers Run that we did a week ago.

Nothing incredibly exciting, but it does show what beautiful clean, linkable runs we get on a reverse. I was trying hard to do all the "Oscar" things - stopping paddling as soon as I was on the run, looking 45degrees either side of the nose for the next run, accelerating to get onto the next dip, pulling an S maneuver to stay on the wave, etc.

And finally...

We modified our camera mast to fit onto the rear deck of the Evo II. Here's a short test clip... Can't wait to use it on a proper downwind!

Thank you so much!
We also have some more videos in our Channel of YouTube:

www.youtube.com/user/WAVEFIGHTING

This footage was taken in Las Canteras Beach. It is in Gran Canaria, in the Canary Island.
Local temperatura right now is about 25 degrees Celsius. And water is about 18. The Jacket is because we just moved to “The Dark Side” very recently (in August last year). We are a group of kayakers with over 10 years of experience, but riding traditional kayaks in real rough conditions. This is part of our origins, probably keeping some the old traditions learned at sea.
We really love riding waves in surfski, so we apologize if someone felt we are doing sacrilege with this amazing sport (surfski).
Should anyone consider visiting us (we are close to Paradise, so any time you consider its good weather), we have a paddling club in the island, with a high reputation:

www.facebook.com/clubamigosdelpiraguismo

Thank you so much again!.
