Moving V8 Pedals Forward

Hi, my wife just got a V8. Nice boat, great for beginners, however the pedals and footbrace are about one or two inches short of optimal position for her, even all the way forward. Is there a recommended procedure or method to shift the whole assembly forward? Thanks.

You can put additional paddling on the pedals and the footplate. This can help. It may, however, interfere with the operation of the bailer.
