Surfski TV is Back!

Surfski TV is back!  With two shows - Cape Point Challenge 2009, and that epic battle between Dawid Mocke and Matt Bouman at the 2010 Dunlop Surfski World Cup in Durban...  Enjoy!

Fenn Cape Point Challenge 2009

Dawid Mocke's had some pretty exceptional results recently - and one of them happened on December 19, 2009 when he won the race ahead of the biggest field ever - leading 250 paddlers back to Fish Hoek from Cape Point.

The race was an in and out affair, conditions on the Atlantic side of the Cape Peninsula being so wild that the race organizers had to take the safe option and started the race in Simonstown.  Click here for the Surfski.info race report.

Dunlop Surfski World Cup 2010

The 2010 Dunlop Word Cup was held in Durban, in classic downwind conditions.  The Cape based Dawid Mocke was up against the best paddlers Durban could offer - and in particular Matt Bouman was truly hungry for a victory.  Two time winner Hank McGregor was also there, but his training had been disrupted by a two-month ban following a scuffle at the of a river race.

At the end of an unbelievably close fought race, Bouman and Mocke charged the finish line together, Mocke taking the win by mere inches.

Not content with husband Dawid taking the honors, Nikki Mocke won the women's race, beating her Plett-based rival Michele Eray who took a line too close to shore and ran out of sea with a few km to go...
