35 miles in 4 hours

Did a downwind ski across lake Mille Lacs today. Only had one car so I had to do an out an back. Took just over 4 hours to do 35 miles with a moving average of 9.5 mph. There was a decent breeze and the lake was almost completely white, but actually very flat. I left the pfd and leash at home as they seemed an unnecessary precaution. I did take 2 skis with me though. The air temp was about 22 F, which was chilly given the 15 mph wind. For clothing I just used a polypropylene base layer and a nylon windshell that I put on when I stopped to eat lunch. The only things that got cold were my toes. V2 worked well. I left the V12 at home in the garage...
