Hi Chuck,
When I lived in a house with a small garden I used to store my ski vertically against a corner in the wall (outside!). It was absolutely fine, just be sure to put some kind of rope or strap across it, in case the wind blows it down. A little mat underneath the end will protect it from scratches. (You`ll get less snail shit on it than when a ski is left on the ground!)

Thanks Owen - it's an external corner wall I'm looking at too. I'll go with a good block of foam under the end, and I'll probably sink a couple of hooks into the wall that I can attach a strap to.

Aquaracks offer great product for ski storage - good shape, aluminium, padded!
Had a few old ones spare, so used them for roof structure of corrugate iron - hasn't blown away as yet :-)

My wife is responsible for this great storage idea for my Fenn. It lies in slings inside the long bench on the left as you look from the window (where the pic is taken) towards the BBQ. Turn 180 degrees, and the beach at Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland, is 100m away. Safe, weatherproof, accessible and utilitarian storage. Thanks mbJ

Sorry, the pics are obviously sideways, but I'm not tech savvy enough to fix...
