Hi! I would ask you some informations about this ski:

www.wetiz.eu/en/livesaving-surskis/797-t...fski-adjustable.html

Is it made by fenn?

It seems good for novice, adjustable and suitable for surfing.

I don't know anything about spec skis, but I do know that that isn't made by Fenn!

Have you asked wetiz?

Ooops - my bad then!

I apologize - I guess that shows how little I know about spec skis.

Finn skis, Made and sold in Australia as the "Endorfinn"? Perhaps it would have another name for another market? That happens.

Why would Wetiz say it was made by Fenn if it is not? It is a composite ski, not a plastic ski at 19kg.

I ask to wetiz. Yes! The tarps is the fenn tarpon.

Now what about the tarpon?

Could it be a good ski for a novice paddler?
I'd use it to fitness paddling and to surf ... I never try downwind.

Now i paddle a wide sot kayak...

Looks like a fine boat. It is a spec ski though and is made for a specific purpose; To be raced from the beach through breaking surf around some bouys then finish again through the surf on the beach.
A true spec ski is quite heavy, some 18+ KG. The up wind performance will also suffer due to bow design.
If that is what you are looking for then go for it.
I would recommend trying different skis of different types before settling on a spec ski.
I bought one second hand and soon found myself looking at unlimited skis. Have no interest in spec skis now! Used surfskis are difficult to sell around here.
Hope that helps.
