Has anyone paddled one of these and are they suitable for a beginner?
Cheers.

Have never seen one or heard of one, but judging by the dimensions on the stealth website, I would say yes. It is the same length and width as most of the beginner ski's. If the price is right, take it for a paddle.

stealth surfcraft based on th gold coast, owned by Ian Rowlings. I have owned an outrigger built by lats at stealth surfcraft.best built craft I have ever owned. I just bought a Fenn elite and sold the outrigger after owning it for four years. the outrigger build was superior to that off the ocean ski.

The aussie distributor has them discounted to $2000. Would seem reasonable, nice yellow colour too, are you looking to buy from him or 2nd hand?

The bucket looks HUGE, may need to be padded up to stop you sliding side to side

It does seem wide , 48cm beam where the seat is and the seat takes up nearly all that space !!

Mate stop procrastinating and just buy the boat ;)

Seriously, if it's a good price, is in good nick and you like it when you paddle it, buy it. Entry level ski's hold thier value pretty well , especially when already cheap 2nd hand.

Paddle it for a while and then if you are ready for another ski sell it. I went through 3 ski's in 2 years and only lost about $700 in total on what I paid for those ski's and learnt a great deal about how different ski's perform in varying conditions.

I am on my 4th ski which is now pretty much perfect for me to be able to paddle well in the conditions I need to paddle well in.

Always looking for the next boat :)
