Paddling in San Diego

I am going to be in San Diego for a couple of weeks in January. I will have my ski and a couple of kayaks and wonder if anybody has any advice on places to put in and paddle in the area. THANKS!

Hi Ken--

Many local paddlers launch from the beach in front of the Bahia Hotel, on Mission Bay. From there it's a short paddle to the Mission Beach jetties and the ocean.

Yes, the beach on the east side is where paddlers of all kinds launch and hang out. This time of year it will be quiet during the week but really hop on the weekends.
