Black Knight surfskis

Steve, spot-on review of the ski. Here's a link to first video, shot on Swan River yesterday. I'd only been on the ski for a minute (and hadn't paddled for two months), so if I look wonky, that's why.

Indeed, it is lighter and longer than the Atom. I'm waiting on the gel coat to arrive for the minor repairs, then it can be shown.

Have you paddled an Atom Greg?

If so how did it compare in the seat width department to the Black Night?

Yes, Brett, paddled the Atom quite a bit. Very different skis. As for seat: Atom way deeper and you feel a bit more snug. With the Black Knight, it's high, but quite roomy, so will suit larger guys, too. I'm a 34" waist and had no problems with width, but as I said in earlier posts, it's possibly more for advanced paddlers (just like the Atom) but it's a true "surf" ski.

How's this ski been going in the Ocean Greg?

Hi, Brett. The design is being modified with a lower seat. Unsure of when new model will arrive, as I believe Mango is focussed on the club market for the moment.

There is a new WaveRider 2 (adjustable leg length) from Mango Racing arriving in OZ this week. It was passed by SLSA last week. So maybe check out their web site.

The seat on the Black Knight has been lowered, making an amazing difference to stability.
