Surf skiers in giant swell photos? was created by arminius
A few years ago a guy from Port Elisabeth (from memory) went out in giant storm swell and rented a chopper to take some pictures. Does anyone know where I can find these? The waves were monstrous and the photos truly inspiring. I had a go on Google but no luck - any help would be appreciated.
Another perfect day in paradise. A bit of sun, a bit of rain and it's not even lunch time.

good one chopper ! this was me a few years back inside the Southport seaway ( Xmas 2007? )when a storm swell was battering the Gold Coast

after a few good waves :laugh: one stood up and broke one me as I turned off and it did not end well :blush:

The ski shape was a Fenn Millennium ( Mould rented from Dean Gardiner in Australia ) I made the ski myself with Carbon/Kevlar hybrid fabric which caused it to stay in a Big piece once broken :(

nope , gave the carcass to Rob Pomie in 2012 i think , he got Rowdy to "fix it up"
