Western Australia's adventure race (worlds largest) seems to have done a lot to increase ski sales, we just need to get them paddling downwind. A friend suggested we have a beginner day on the mandurah duel course to introduce more first time downwind paddlers, perhaps have a buddy system (beginner paired with more experienced paddler) and a couple of support craft.

Any other idea's for getting more ski's off rivers and protected waters?

Always looking for the next boat :)

Take them in small conditions first - I've seen guys go out in seas that were too hectic for their abilities and come in shit scared and swearing never to go downwind again!

Show them videos that show how much fun it is!

Take them in doubles - easy intro.
