| An amazing ski. Paddled it at Buffalo Bay this Sunday after hearing many good things. Exceeded my expectations by far. Conditions were choppy SEasterly, big swell. The G40 handled everyhing I placed it through. Side-chop, impressed most and extremely stable for such a fast ski. There is no doubt that this ski will impress right the way through from elite to guys ready for a decent ski after intermediate. Hope Knysna Racing accept lay-buys! I want one now¡ | |

| The G40 is an amazing ski. I was fortunate enough to get to paddle it in Knysna while on holiday and really enjoyed it. I am a competitive canoeist and always struggled climbing into a surfski with it being that much bigger and the seating position feeling as if my feet are higher than my seat. With the G40 as well as the G20 you feel as if you are in a canoe. Its nice and narrow so you can focus on putting in a good stroke as well as super fast, stable and catches runs better than any ski i have ever owned before. The skiis are also made really well with alot of attention to detail. I am relatively short so i got myself the G20 and am absolutely loveing it. | |

| Giovanni - how do you find the stability of the G40 compared to the V10, as well as the G40's ability to surf downwind...? I paddled a G40 a while back very briefly and was amazed at how stable it seemed, very similar in stability to some intermediate boats. (I would class myself a very intermediate paddler...) Your thoughts?? | |

When Mario Graziani called to say that there was an Allwave CX surfski in Cape Town and would I like to try it, I leapt at the chance. At the same time I was a little apprehensive – what could Italians possibly know about making surfskis?! Written on Saturday, 20 August 2011 in Product Reviews Read more... “Ok, let’s sprint to the other side of the harbor,” I said. Issuing a challenge like that to my training partner Dale Lippstreu always results in a ball-bursting, neck and neck, 110% redline effort. This time though he just disappeared (behind me) and 200m later I looked back to see him paddling backwards. “I thought I had something on the rudder,” he said. Nah. We did it again and the same thing happened. I was on an Carbonology Sport Atom – and on flat water it made me look like a paddling super-hero. I have always wanted to fit an elliptical rudder to a Fenn, particularly a Mako 6 as it is my favourite ski. I can paddle an Elite but I prefer the 6 for all round stability and performance particularly in chop. Its main weakness is that the shark fin loses bite because of the ski's rocker and the fin's proximity to the tail causes the odd broach particularly in big swells. Written on Sunday, 17 July 2011 in Tips: Other Read more... Rudders are a critical part of any boat’s design – and in my opinion many of the rudders on surfskis are sub-optimal, to put it mildly. But at last a manufacturer has got off their butt to offer a wide range of rudders for different conditions. Written on Wednesday, 15 June 2011 in Tips: Other Read more...
