Here's a great video from Rambo of the recent Perth Doctor race.  Clint Robinson dominated - and features heavily in the clip - especially towards the end where he shows superb form on the runs.  Be aware that the file is big - 100MBytes, so you may want to start it off, hit the pause button, then go make coffee & come back ten minutes later.  But it's worth waiting for!

Mocke, McGregor, Jacobs, Cotter, Eckstein, Stewart and of course Laughlin and host of previous knowns and unknowns and we have quite a race on our hands. Throw in a huge 10K for first and a 4 star rating and this is the biggest event on Australian ocean racing calendar. The big news this season is that the Perth WC has now moved to January. This makes it the opening event of 2009 and a must-do for all serious contenders.

For those that haven't taken part in one of the Perth events before, I can tell you that this is the most fun race on the program.

Sorrento Beach, Perth, WA, 8 Dec 2007: Confusion reigned supreme at the finish of the Perth World Cup when race leader Oscar Chalupsky failed to round the last buoy.  Instead he went to within a few metres of the buoy but turned before it and headed to the beach.
