What do all the top paddlers or even the intermediate paddlers do to earn a living whilst being able to train as much as they do? With the cost of boats, gear and travel this is obviously not a poor mans sport! As a current job seeker I am on the lookout for that perfect job that will allow me the time and money to train and travel. Can anyone enlighten me?
Good question! I found that my human trafficking business didn't earn me enough to afford all the gear and travel I needed so i now have a side business in drug running.
What I've found when talking to the guys that train that much is that they are close to water (either at work, at home, whatever), that they have a flexible work schedule, and they get up early for an early morning paddle.
I don't know how they afford the equipment other than some sponsorship for paddles and clothes and such. What amazes me the most is how much it costs to go to these races! I have NO idea how that gets offset...
