Canoe & Kayak Racing/Canoe News ? Racing Tandem

USCA?s Canoe News and Dan Grubbs? Canoe & Kayak Racing magazine have teamed up to make access to each other materials easier for followers of both.

Canoe News web site www.uscanoenews.com now carries a link to the current issue of Canoe & Kayak Racing issuu.com/ckrmagazine/docs/nov_dec_09 right on its home page, and a Canoe & Kayak Racing magazine archives page where you can see a list of contents and link directly to every past issue!

And future issues of Canoe & Kayak Racing will contain a direct link to Canoe News? Worldwide Paddling Event Calendar ? a detailed online listing of hundreds of races and other paddling events coming up in the next 12-15 months.

These are just two of the developments that emerged from a meeting Thanksgiving week between Canoe & Kayak Racing editor Dan Grubbs and Canoe News editor Gareth Stevens.

Stevens said of the meeting, ?It was was a breath ? no, a gale ? of fresh air. Not so much a negotiation as a genuine and generous exploration of how each of us can help the other promote the sport we love, and serve our fellow paddlers.?

"Gareth is right," said Grubbs. "We really want to communicate that racers have more in common than differences, regardless of their organizational affiliation."

The two have also agreed to team up to promote river clean ups and good stewardship of the country?s waterways.
