Skis in Singapore?

I have a buddy who is relocating to Singapore and wants to know if:

• He should take his ski with him
• He can buy skis from anywhere near there/how easy is it to get them shipped there?
• There's anyone in Singapore who paddles?

Oscar has just been there and done a few coaching clinics, looks great.
So I suppose there are ski paddlers there, Oscar does not have that many imaginary friends.

If he is taking a container he should put his skis on the top. If he isn't then freight isn't too expensive. I just had two new skis shipped from Carbonology for R4000 total to Japan and they went thru Singapore, so it will be lot cheaper I guess. Any case he will be able to sell them at a profit.

Off this topic - but Rod, where are you paddling in Japan? I am in Tokyo and paddle out on the Chiba coast. Havent met any other paddlers here yet.
