Greetings!

Because of the foam bulkheads in the V7 I am asking if it is possible to move them apart to increase the storage capacity? Is there a stinger in the hull that prevents that? Maybe a bad idea but there would be so much space in the back to cram little things in =)

Cheers

I was told that there is a stringer somewhere in the boat, but have no idea where. I would not take the risk of moving the bulkheads anyways. The shape of the boat changes as you move them along. Another thing I noticed that there seem to be deliberate protrusions that come off the body of the boat to hold the bulkheads in place (or so it seems). They are located on the inner side of the deck.
In other words I would strongly suggest leaving it well alone. Maybe save up for a V6 of you need space.

I got some feedback from Tyrell at the Epic Kayaks factory:

I would not remove the bulkheads as there is a stringer behind each bulkhead. While the stringer doest really do anything substantial it does help the boat not flex as much.

So it looks as though it's not a great plan!
